Morgan is growing so fast it is just unbelievable. Her eyes are focusing and she is learning about her arms and legs. She has this really cute turtle aquarium crib toy that lights up and plays music which she is fascinated with. Her eyes focus on the lights, she settles down when she hears the music and she even waves her arms about and hits the button which changes the song (although I'm sure this is by accident). The past two nights she has slept a 5 hour block (yeah). Unfortunately, the 5 hour block has been the first part of the night. I get a good block of sleep but then we are up every 2 1/2 to 3 hours for the rest of the morning. She is not fussy at all, the only time she fusses is when she has a poopy diaper or she is hungry. She is VERY vivid sleeper and makes the cutest noises when she sleeps. During the day she will take naps that last 2 1/2 to 4 hours, just long enough for me to do things like update this blog!
Grandma Mollie goes home tomorrow and we have heard every excuse on the block for her to try to take Morgan back with her (including making her 1st appearance in the Today show as there was a 1 month old in the audience this morning..and well Morgan needs to do that too!). I know both Morgan and Mollie will miss each other a lot! The house will be a little quiet with just us here, but it will give us a chance to figure out a bit of a routine, hopefully.
Morgan's second cousin was born today, exactly 1 month apart. Congrats to Billy & Laura Hilbert on the birth of their baby girl! Morgan will be going to her first birthday party on saturday for her friend Kellen McGarvey that will be turning 2 years old. Should be interesting.
