My first experience watching 4 kids at the same time - thank goodness for well behaved kids - it was actually a fantastic afternoon yesterday.

Our buddies Karter and Kellen (ages 3 and 4) spent the entire afternoon with us while their mom and dad were at work. Morgan first had to show them all her toys, then they played in the kitchen, had a snack and painted gingerbread cookies.

The busiest activity of the afternoon was playing RUN RUN RUN with Finnegan - where the kids ran in circles with Finnegan chasing them - I don't normally allow chase with the dogs - but they where all having such a good time and Finnegan loved it (Reid watched from the sidelines). The chase game lasted about 20 minutes and Finnegan was so tired, he lapped up a bowl of water, plopped down on the floor and fell asleep -
he was so zonked out that Morgan and Karter put blankets on him, and he didn't move a muscle.

After dinner We had a great story time, each kid picked out a book and sat on a special "story blanket" (this is new - Ms. Jenny does this in music class and the kids actually sit and pay attention - it totally works!). Abby even got in on the action. The kids where all so great with dinner and story time that we put on our jammies, got milk and snuggled in to watch some Kung Fu Panda.
