The latest on Abby's tooth - things look *good* - Abby was on a heavy antiobiotic for the past 10 days for a double ear infection - which she was diagnosed with the day she broke off her tooth - the dentist yesterday, told us that there was a chance that those drugs were helping us buy some time - but in her best estimate - it looks like Abby can keep her tooth. Now that Abby is off her antibiotic, the tooth will have to "thrive" on it's own, and if there is any bit of a root or nerve exposed, we will know within the next week. If she doesn't show signs of pain and the tooth doesn't turn colors, then the tooth can stay!!!!! The x-ray and exam also indicated that the tooth was NOT impacted (as originally diagnosed by the 1st dentist) - and the adult tooth was growing just fine. The tooth that broke off had just barely started to come through her gums - so if all goes well - then they can put a cap on it and build it up to look about the same size as the other tooth - thank goodness!!! Thank GOD for mother's-instinct and not listening to that dentist on the night of the incident and ThANK you Jess for helping me find Dr. Stimmel - a woman that has been on Oprah 3 times and is a national representative for Oral B - must knwo what she is talking about!!!!! as far as the tooth - somewhat ironic - that Bernie and I both have a busted front tooth that is fake (the same exact tooth for us by the way) AND our little friend Carter McGarvey just bonked the heck out of her front tooth a week ago and had to have a mini-root canal to save it. What is going on with teeth these days?
The past weekend was pretty busy - we had a babyshower on Saturday for our friend Jess. She is having the baby tomorrow - good luck honey!!!

And then on Sunday we had Nathan's 2nd birthday (Cathy's son) -She did this really cute construction theme - with construction tape everywhere - all the kids got little yellow construction hats - aprons from Home Depot - a brown-bag lunch picnic and the coolest party favors -
it was an awesome weekend of mom-group friends and hanging out!
