Littleton Farm

What a beautiful day today! We packed up and met up with the "super 4" - as I think I will now call us - and went to the Littleton Farm & Historic Museum. The Super 4 are my girlfriends Cathy, Jessica, Katie & Myself - we met at a mom's group about a year and 1/2 ago, and have been hanging out ever since -

I'm sure you have seen their kids in our blog every now and then - so we had the entire gang together today: Abigail, Avery, Cooper, Maggie, Morgan, Nathan, Sam & Baby TBD (Katie is due with her second in the next two weeks).

As we arrived, the sheep were OUT! We were all a little alarmed by this, and reported it, but learned that it is totally normal - on nice days, they let the sheep out to wander around - odd - since we have all been there before and never seen this - but whatever .... they were very loud sheep!

SO off we went to let the kids wander and explore the farm.

Abby girl was right there with them - she walked a lot today!

And lucky us - we had no idea it was milking day!!!! Madeline(the cow) is a Jersey cow and was ready for milking - so the kids all lined up to check out where milk, butter and ice cream all comes from - I'm not sure if the "milking maid's" explanation was a good thing or a bad thing, although the kids seemed very excited about getting ice cream after we left the dairy barn!

And yes, us moms even got a go at it - I have to applaud my friend Jessica - she got right in there and milked away, while holding her little baby Sam!

It was a super fun day for moms and kiddos.
