What a fun weekend in the mountains we had! Bernie and I were able to drive up with the girls on Saturday night and stay in Breck until Monday afternoon. We had a special camp out for the girls, movie time, lots of walks downtown,

lots of eating out, a little shopping

, a lot of time for a family together!

It's May - and we had to drive through rain, sleet, fog, snow, icy roads and snow white out conidtions to get there - but it was well worth it! The weather was great on Sunday and Monday, and the girls thought it was so cool that they got to sleep in the same room and on their very own big girl bed!
We ate at the very nice, unique victorian house that was a restaurant - it's off season right now, so places like this were offering 2 for 1 - the girls were "mostly" behaved for this linen draped table dinner - and enjoyed our appetizer more than Bernie and I - smoked trout, goat cheese and house made flat bread! This was Abby striking a pose after dinner!
The girls did great and it was a very full weekend - the weekend was made even more special becase Ms Abby shipped all her binkies to Papa Jim on Thursday night, so it was a bit of a struggle at moments, but because we were on a special vacation, the girls got to watch movies while they were going night night- this really made bed team easier for Abby and I am happy to report, has not had a binky since last week! Almost a whole week - yeah!
This was of course perfect timing as the girls started their new preschool this week - they started at a Montessori school that just opened in February - the school is fantastic so far, and the girls are really jumping right into routines there - We are so thankful to find such a great place.
