Corn Maze, 1st pony ride & Abby snoozing

This past weekend was super busy and fun! We arrived back from PA on Tuesday night - Wednesday was dedicated to 8 loads of laundry and grocery and Costco shopping, then work for Mom on Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning myself and the girls and Kelli and her friend Liz (in town from Houston) went to Chatfield Botanic Gardens to the Corn Maze - they have a HUGE corn maze for adults that is different every year and SO big that they have a spotter up on a high lift in the middle to help people if they get lost.

Although we considered venturing in to that one - we opted for the mini corn maze first to see how we all handled it (the grown ups where all having thoughts of Malicaih from Children of the Corn). Morgan thought it was so fun to venture through the corn to look for dinosaurs - who were all sleeping, so we did not see any - The only topper to the corn maze was her very first Pony ride - she galloped atop Snickerdoodle, a very gently pony and was ready to do more-more-more - we had a quick picnic and then headed back to our house. Liz hosted a Creative Memories/Wine party at our house - the books and paper and crafts are super nice - check it out if you have never seen it before http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/lizjohnson Fast forward to Sunday night dinner - Kel bought some great stuff from Tony's and Bernie cooked on the grill - so yummy - Abby was being all fussy, so I was holding her, then put her in her high chair and gave her some of my twice baked potato, which she loved, and then we all looked over at her and she was fiddling with the potatoes in her hands and was falling asleep!!! I have heard and seen other kids do this, but never had seen it for myself, it was SO funny and so precious - check it out.
