To capture the full effects of the past few days - please scroll down to the first post from today - which is about attempting to take the girls picture for our Christmas card...
The girls loved every minute of Christmas morning! And mom and dad were very thankful that because of hte late night the night before, the kids slept till 8am!!!
Bernie brought the girls down and first checked the den to see if Santa had come down the chimney and eaten his cookies -
and then it was time to head to the living room to see what was under the tree - she flipped!!! I think the first thing she saw was the hoolahoop - she grabbed and then for a while would take her presents over to it and sit inside of it and open her gifts -
Abby had to be guided a bit, but she was excited in her own little way...
Of course every box or bag that was opened, had to be fully examined and then whatever was inside had to be taken out of it's packaging. We were also on the hunt for a lot of batteries yesterday and Bernie even had to go to the store to get some.
I love this picture - Bernie took Morgan over to the fireplace after we opened presents to go say thank you to Santa and to make sure he wasn't stuck in there -
And for Christmas dinner - which we celebrated with our friend Brad
we then had another gift exchange with Brad and the girls received some great toys and Bernie and I received some wonderful libations - but check out the expression on Morgan has she realizes that she has received a doll house - it's a trip...
