Morgan had a checkup, cleaning, and had fluoride added to her teeth and got the OK to use "real-princess-toothpaste" - that would be crest for kids with disney princesses on it - she was also told to give up the bink! It's causing her upper pallet to narrow and it can be stopped and corrected easily if she gives it up soon - I thought we were doing so well with the bink - she has only had it at night time and naps since she was about 14 months - they have a cool program there, if you turn in your binkies to give to other babies, then you get to pick out a TY Beanie Baby - of course she picked out the purple one and of course, it's name happened to be Princess!!! She told me last night that she did NOT want that purple princess bear, she wanted her binkies. This morning she said "oh no - we didn't take my binkie back to the doctor for those babies" - and was all worried about it - so I am hoping she will give it up soon and we can march back to the Dentist and trade in her binkie for that purple bear waiting up on a shelf to be taken home!
Other great news - Morgan is a BIG GIRL, in a BIG GIRL bed. She has been so proud of her progress on her chart - adding her stickers to it every morning and waiting for the big reward - 7 full nights in the big girl bed and she will get the new Tinker Bell movie (YES - I Bribe!). We went last week and picked out her new sheets, Tinker Bell sheets, and she "helped me" take apart her crib and convert it to a big girl bed, so it's her crib, but super low to the ground and now just has this small little rail by her pillow. She is SOOO proud of her bed. That first night was tough - Morgan had decided that she didn't need any of her "BABY" things anymore - so she moved her blanket and little pillow, alien stuffed animal, night light - all of it to Abby's room. She even boxed up her binkies, decorated the box and "mailed it" to baby Chase (that's Bernie's sister's little boy who is turning 1 next week!!). No binkie meant little sleep for mom, as I tried to comfort her by sleeping on her floor and reading books to her - we got about 5 hours of sleep - then the next night we tired her out by hanging out at Mike and Kim O'Brien's house until about 10pm - she was SOOO exhausted she conked out pretty good - but we did give her the option of using 1 binkie that had fallen out of the box. She of course grabbed it before we left the room - but slept through the entire night until 8:30am!!! Wow, what a great night of sleep for her.
