Wow, I'm a slacker - have not posted in a month - sorry about that! It's been a bit of a whirlwind since we got back from the beach. Papa Jim & Grandma (my parents) came to town for a few days, as did Uncle Corey and Uncle Mac (2 of Bernie's cousins), summer fun continues though.
So let's back up... we went to a street festival called Blues & Brews with our friends Jess & Jim and their two kids Cooper & Sam. Morgan & Cooper had a great time dancing to the music and enjoyed all the festival food (as did Abby!).
We've also had a lot of backyard fun, enjoying the slip and slide that Kelli bought the girls.
And then PapaJim & Grandma Dedow were in town. As always, the girls were in the kitchen as big helpers...

Big 1sts for the girls.... we went "camping" and on their first boat ride...as this was their first camping experience, we decided to stay close to home - and thankfully there is a camp site about 20 minutes from our house at Chatfield Reservoir. Mike & Kim hosted us in their RV named "Lamont" and the girls loved it. They loved getting to nap on the big bed in the back, eat snacks inside when it rained outside, and walk down from Lamont to the picnic/campfire area.
After the rain cleared up, we walked down to the marina and went on a boat ride on Mike & Kim's boat. The girls loved it!!!! I was a little worried about Abby since she get so motion sick, but she did great. And Morgan loved the wind in her hair.

After boating we headed up to Lamont for burgers and dogs & smores (Abby loved them and was covered in chocolate - Morgan thought they were too messy). Us girls were pretty pooped out, so we headed home and went right to bed. Looking forward to a real campout over night! Should be interesting now that they are broken in. Thanks Mike & Kim!
